We have been here on the Outer Banks for nearly a decade and have been able to enjoy most of the local fare from Corolla to Manteo to Ocracoke. Everything from local sandwich shops and bakeries to fine dining. Here are a few of our favorites:

An OBX Favorite - best fish tacos around! And let's not forget Mama's Hawaiian Pork Plate. Get there early - the wait to get in can get long, but is well worth the wait.

Chef/Owners Randall and Amanda Sprinkle create amazing dishes and local fare. One of our all time favorites! The dessert creations are out of this world! They will come out to your table to say hi and ask you about your meal.

Delicious finer dining fare! The menu is has a variety of local favorites and the wine selection is vast. The restaurant is located across the street from the oceanfront. Our favorite spot to eat is on the second floor in front of the window with a view of the ocean. Very romantic!

Heading to Hatteras or Ocracoke then it is a much stop by Waves Market for the best sandwiches on the planet!!! They are huge!

Great find! There is a small area to eat in but it is mostly a take-out Asian Fusion. We love the Fresh Shrimp Spring Rolls, Drunken Noodles, Basil Chicken and Tuna Poke.

Yum! The Tuna appetizer pictured is delicious! We also love the Sesame Noodle Bowls.....with seared Tuna. It is also a wonderful evening to sit out on the upper deck and listen to music and look out over the ocean. Great spot!

We walk to this spot from the beach. There is a deck on the beach where you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Music is on certain evenings. Great spot to enjoy the evening on the beach.

A must see while you are on your vacation. It has been moved from its original spot 20 years ago. Great history and most famous and recognizable lighthouses in the world.

This is a wonderful day trip! You can only get there by ferry....Make sure to bring your bikes or call to rent a golf cart to scoot around town. Great restaurants and shops. Definitely a must do while you are on your vacation!

A main headquarters is located directly across the street from the largest dune on the east coast - Jockeys Ridge State Park. Be sure to visit and/or call for more information.

This is a fun little town but stay away on Saturdays due to check in traffic. Start at Aqua and walk the boardwalk all the way to The Blue Point Restaurant. Make an afternoon/evening out of it by stopping at every restaurant along the way and get an appetizer and/or drink. There are shops to check out along the way. Also, Duck has many other restaurants and quaint shopping spots, other than the boardwalk.
