Just around the corner from the apartment, this place is dog-friendly with a great menu. Not very vegan-friendly, but I always find something to eat.

If you want to taste authentic Croatian dishes but with a twist, this is the place to go. It's located in the upper town with a beautiful terrace next to St.Catherine's church and world-famous Museum of Broken Relationships.

On Tkalciceva street, my favourite Indian restaurant. It has a nice outdoor terrace on always buzzing Tkalciceva.

Best coffee in town
Great coffee + almond milk option. On Petrinjska street, a 5 minute walk from the apartment. Grab a croissant in Mlinar bakery (same road) and enjoy your coffee on the sun.

This is my favourite neighbourhood cafe. On a little square just passed the park towards the main sq. Love to sit outside on their pink chairs and have my morning soy milk cappuccino.

Another place I love to enjoy a coffee, tea or a glass of wine. You can walk to it via Ilica (main street) or take a scenic route via Upper town - through the park (turn right when you enter) Google will give you this route as an alternative.

Now a world-famous museum with pop-ups around the globe and a new Broken Relationships museum in Los Angeles was first opened here in Zagreb and by a good friend of mine. Not much to say but, it's a must. Enjoy a coffee, fresh juice or a glass of wine after on the terrace.

Zagreb is very green; big parks and forests are interwoven into the city and close to the center. you can walk up from Dezmanov prolaz straight to Dubravkin put (great for jogging as well) all the way up to Cmrok meadow. Or turn to Tuskanac park forest, Rokov perivoj etc.

Hike one of the many trails on Medvednica mountain. My favourite is Bikcevic trail (Bikceviceva staza) to Puntjarka restaurant.

If you like authentic, no better place than Krolo on Radiceva street. Sometimes it feels like it's frozen in the '80s and that's what I love about it. Have a rakija (local grappa) before you hit the town.
