The closest place to grab a big breakfast and a Bloody Mary. Beach Cafe has plenty of elbow room, a robust lunch and dinner menu with daily specials, and a cozy fireplace in winter months. Go left on Oak to Shelby, then south about a block.

An inexpensive, old-school Chinese joint out on the highway. Worth a visit for the kitsch factor, but they also deliver if you don't feel like getting in the car. I always get the steak and veggie dinner special.
