It hosts more booksellers within a small town than anywhere else in the uk. it is surrounded by hills to walk. It is quirky with interestingly niche little boutiques to shop in, a dilapidated castle to walk through and a variety of eateries.

Used as an open air theatre with its own cafe and in the centre of town with access to shops yet nice walks around it's perimeter down to the river bank also. The Assembly Rooms are worth a gander and host films and theatre events.
