Great portabello mushroom sandwich. i get it without the beets. Yummy truffle fries. Shwarma, Donner kebab, fallafel....they make their own sauces and breads. Yumm.

This is one of those new, upmarket, food courts, this one housed in a former fish market. Very cool vibe. A little pricey for casual, but everything I've had there has been good. Several of the vendors offer breakfast items so it's a good choice for that.

They make all their own pasta and sauces, and it's literally right around the corner. You choose a pasta and a sauce and they're all good.

This is a restaurant, bar and pool club! If you NEED to swim, check this out; it's about 12 blocks from the cottage. Great food. Located in an old house, and eating al fresco on the covered porch is a possibility. Very New Orleans

Drinks & Nightlife

It's close! 1 block away. Eclectic line-up: some comedy, bluegrass on Mondays, brass bands...anyone can and does show up. Food is a pop-up with fries dressed up with all kinds of combinations. Filling and fattening.

Outdoorsy wine bar with live music. Minimal food menu: think cheese plates. You go for the atmosphere, which is pretty cool: tables under big trees. When the weather is nice it's pretty special.
