Guidebook for Pisa

Food Scene

The quintessential Pisa experience: small, crowded, noisy, oily, and you most likely won't get the Tuscan-style jokes of the cashier, but every Pisan, low-life to upscale, eats there and feels welcome. You don't go there for the food, but for the ambiance and the experience. Forget the standard pizza: get "due quarti con cecina" and a beer at the bar. You will not be disappointed.
