Just keep driving on Ski Basin Road and you'll end up at the top of the mountain! Along the way you'll find 10 Thousand Waves Japanese spa and Izanami restaurant and many excellent hiking trails and camping areas. The aspen vistas are must in the Fall!

Ski Basin RoadJust keep driving on Ski Basin Road and you'll end up at the top of the mountain! Along the way you'll find 10 Thousand Waves Japanese spa and Izanami restaurant and many excellent hiking trails and camping areas. The aspen vistas are must in the Fall!
A good little hike on the way from the cabin to Santa Fe. Off the I-25 Southbound, approximately 1 mile after passing the Valencia exit, keep an eye out for a turnout on the right. It is a dirt parking lot with a small trailhead sign on the north end. A very nice trail criss-crossing a stream through Apache Canyon. About 2 miles in there are steep canyon walls and massive boulders so that's where I usually turn around.
