Lovely park very nearby. Good walking/biking route that circles the whole park (some good cardio hills!). Big grassy areas ideal for picnics. Big hills for kite-flying, sledding in winter.

Indian and Nepali food very nearby. Good lunch buffet. My fav's are vegetable coconut korma and navaratna korma. (They will ask you how spicy you want your dish. I would suggest starting with 'mild' unless you know you like things very hot!)
