Sightseeing

Here are some awesome things to enjoy in and around the Utuado area. I've built this list as one large loop from Arecibo to Utuado to Lares, San Sebastian Adjuntas, Jayuya and then to my property (I will send you all of this in another format immediately after booking). There's two vacations worth of stuff to do in this area! I suggest you grab a few of these sites on your drive in and the rest throughout the week. Have a great time and let us know if you need more information.
Great History in this area! This is one of the most important historical sites for the Taino Indian nation. Many if not most large decisions for the Tainos were made here. The pay to enter is nominal but please leave a donation for the park. When government help doesn't suffice the community chips in of their time and resources to make this place beautiful for you to visit.

This is a quick stop off a main highway and a worth seeing site. This is a guided tour on private land and the last time I checked the tickets were under $20 per person.

WoW, This is a must see. The entry fee is minimal but the View is Eternal. After you see the petroglyphs in the cave, take a walk to the right (when looking at the ocean) to enjoy what I call 7 arches. Please be careful with holes in the coral that can lead you to your death.

A slice of Heaven Meets History! The views here are out of this world. This is a must see in the area. As you navigate through the river you can see spots with Taino ancient carvings. Simply breathtaking! ***Please be super careful to watch for flash floods.***

This park is managed by the national park service. This tour has always been a top place to see in the area although getting an appointment during Covid times has been a bit of a challenge.

Waterfalls

This is one of my TOP 5 waterfalls on the island. It's not a far walk from the parking lot but it's a bit aways from our area. Still a great day trip to enjoy!

Hmmm, So Much to Say! This is a super fast pop in spot to enjoy if you'd like to walk to the first waterfall and take a nice picture. You can make a 1 day full adventure here also since there are 4 swimming holes, 3 waterfalls, amazing rock formations and a super rope swing to enjoy. Please bring food and a $5.00 donation for parking!

Local

I love this place! This is a family owned and operated farm WAY up in the mountains. You can feel the love and passion this elderly family has for their land and employees. This farm is Legacy project that I've been blessed to visit!

Hiking

Real Hiking! You can drive a 4x4 up the road but I would not do this in a stock rental 4x4 jeep and if it rains you may not make it down. I really suggest you take the hard hike up the mountain, enjoy the astounding heavenly views and walk back down alive and rejuvenated.

Close Beaches

Closest beach and it's a must see place. it's only 45 minutes from the home and i personally walk from this beach to the next beach for sunset exercise several times a week. 2 miles going and coming in nice deep sand is a perfect leg workout. The view and hearing the ocean is A SUPER EXTRA!

Not far away and pretty safe for the kids. There is a huge coral rock that protects the beach from rough water. There is also a restaurant on site and security is offered at the main parking.
