We loved touring the magical Luray caverns. It's the largest in the eastern U.S. Try to go during the week, early in the day to avoid crowds. There is also a Car & Carriage museum, a Heritage Village, and Toy Town Junction included with admission. For an additional fee, visit the maze and rope adventure park.

This place is stock full of adventure for everyone. In the summer, visit the waterpark, and in the winter, hit the slopes. There is golf, an arcade, archery, biking, spas, dining, and various events.
