I know this is a pic of the back kitchen, but this place has THE BEST Mexican food EVER. Like, real birria, tacos gobernadores, sopes, good guacamole... all of it. Never had a bad meal here.

This is the main trailhead to a couple trails through the mountains here. Alltrails App is useful, so download before you get too deep in the backcountry. Always bring water and food.

Really fun little walkabout zoo, has a miniature train exhibit, desert gardens, lots of animals, and they do a lot of conservation work in the area. When summer hits, they do desert lights at night.
