The Plum Ski-ters Water Ski Show Team is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1960. This competitive, entertaining, family-oriented team performs water ski shows throughout the summer at State House Point on Plum Lake in Sayner, Wis. In pursuit of their mission to continue the tradition of family fun and entertainment through waterskiing, the team performs ski shows twice weekly and competes in regional and national tournaments. The Ski-ters give back to the community while developing friendships and teamwork and promoting our community and sport positively. The team performs semi-weekly on Saturday and Wednesday evenings. We do not charge for admission, but we do solicit and greatly appreciate donations. The Plum Ski-ters are funded solely through our own skiers’ membership dues and our fundraising efforts. None of our skiers are paid, and the team receives no public funding. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, donations are tax-deductible.

Hiking

An easy/beginner trail offering a system of level, shaded trails that meander through stands of mature pines, oaks, maples, and a rich understory of balsam fir. Hiking loops of varied length provide for pleasurable walking. During the winter, the portions of the trail system that do not coincide with the snowmobile trail are available for walking, snowshoeing, skiing, and fat tire biking. Biking is only allowed in the winter season.
Awassa Trail
An easy/beginner trail offering a system of level, shaded trails that meander through stands of mature pines, oaks, maples, and a rich understory of balsam fir. Hiking loops of varied length provide for pleasurable walking. During the winter, the portions of the trail system that do not coincide with the snowmobile trail are available for walking, snowshoeing, skiing, and fat tire biking. Biking is only allowed in the winter season.

A somewhat rugged, intermediate level trail offering striking contrasts in terrain. Special attention is given to the many wildflowers, trees and non-flowering plants that make the trail beautiful during all seasons, including late season mushrooms. Provides a great snowshoeing experience. Two loops traverse the property, totaling 1.4 miles of trail, including a bog boardwalk.

Find the main trailhead behind the St. Germain Chamber of Commerce, where Highway 70 meets Highway 155. This trail connects with Sayner and passes a wayside with restrooms, a picnic area and the Awassa Nature Preserve & Hiking Trail, for those in the mood for a shady, level walk.
