In the winter, a 4WD vehicle is recommended
The Loft is located on a fairly steep hill, and in the winter it can get tricky. We recommend a vehicle with 4WD, simply because Maine snow can be a wicked pissah!

Layers and Footwear
All year round in Maine, it is important to dress in layers. The weather changes in a snap, so layers are important. We also recommend sturdy footwear (sneakers, hiking boots, wellies, etc.) if you plan on exploring the farm, trails, or mountains.
No te pierdas
Dont' forget to meet the farm animals!
While you stay with us, make sure you take the time to meet our horses, sheep, chickens, and other residents. Please ensure you do not open any gates, and also please know that the fences are electric. We live on the property, so we are happy to give you a tour! (Horses love carrots, but have a hard time distinguishing fingers from carrots, so please don't feed the animals!)
