Historic Attraction

Places of historical interest
Ed Sheeran’s “Castle on the Hill”, Framlingham castle is a family favourite. Historically important (Mary Tudor was proclaimed Queen of England here), you can walk around the remarkable 10.5 metres high curtain wall, take in breath-taking views of the Suffolk landscape and imagine life over 500 years ago.

Family days out

Places to visit with children
Walberswick is a lovely beach, but is most famous for crabbing! See who can catch the most (or the largest) before returning them to sea. Raw bacon is the bait of choice!

Good fun with the kids who love the play area as much as the maze itself. Take a picnic or I recommend the cheese scones at the cafe (which is open all year round even when the maze is closed).

Sightseeing

One of the most visited places in East Suffolk and rightly so. Walk to the end and look back at the town and its brightly coloured beach huts and visit Tim Hunkin’s fantastically eccentric Under the Pier show. There is a large car park, but it can get busy.
