A more folksy neighborhood that's geared towards locals rather than tourists. Quirky shops, sandwich/taco/pizza joints, and eclectic restaurants. On the Red Line subway route, one stop from Porter Station, which is a 7-9 minute walk from the house.

Closest subway station to the house. Buy a charlie card at the kiosk, and hop on a train to places all around the Boston area. Park Street Station, 5 stops away, is in the middle of Boston, right at the Boston Common, and also offers connections to other subway lines. Trains usually run every 10 minutes or so.

Right on Mass Ave, across from our street. Excellent and fresh- Americanized Chinese food prepared with care and quality ingredients. On the pricey side. Dim Sum on Sundays. Really nice dine-in experience.

Take a right on Mass Ave, a couple blocks towards Porter. Delicious ramen! Also, great appetizers. Haven't tried the sushi, but probably great too.

One of the best restaurants in Cambridge. Nouveau Italian, focused on quality ingredients and hand made pasta. Impossible to get a reservation, but walk-ins can often eat at the bar. Expensive.
