Walking

Spean Bridge is a pleasant town 6 miles west of Murlaggan towards Fort William. There is a well equipped Spar which is our nearest shop. Check out the Glenspean Producers outdoor market on facebook for great local produce and the date of their next market. There are several nice walks to do around Spean Bridge. The 4.5km walk from Spean to the Commando Memorial through woodland alongside the River Spean is suitable for buggies (although you might need to do a lift over the 1st style). There are also some lovely walks in the Killiechonate Forest which start just behind the railway station

From the car park at the end of Glen Nevis there is a short path which takes you to the Steall Falls. This is a lovely spot. The walk isn’t long and there is not much climbing but it is rough in places

The Beach

We love going to the beach at the east end of loch laggan. Apparently it is the largest fresh water beach in the UK
