A 35-mile trail mostly following an old railroad from northeast of Tarpon Springs to downtown St. Petersburg. Parts of a trail to complete the loop from downtown St. Petersburg back to Tarpon Springs exist until the more than 50-mile loop is completed. Access is less than a quarter mile away from the house. Bike rentals can be found at Tarpon Tom’s Outdoor Adventure Gear (about a 1 mile walk or drive south on Pinellas Ave.)

Jolly Trolley (clearwaterjolleytrolley.com) is a mass transit trolley that will take you between the sponge docks to the north and Clearwater Beach to the south. All day on/off passes are $5 ($2.50 for senior citizens) and exact change must be paid to the driver. Stops worth stopping include Sponge Docks, Downtown Dunedin, Downtown Clearwater, and Clearwater Beach. The trolley can be boarded less than a quarter mile away from the house.
