It’s so close and accessible between Wasilla and Palmer right alongside the highway. Parking is free on the driveway down to the park. Walk down trails and fish from the shore. Our grandson caught a 21” rainbow in 5-2020. Rent a boat and do it in style.

It’s a lake in downtown Wasilla. The park across from McDonalds and Pizza Hut is a good place to drop in a kayak. Everett’s also is an awesome place to catch a bite to eat and view the expanse of the lake and surrounding mountains. We have launched our canoe for free there. They may say no to launching motor boats but i think they have paddle, canoe, kayaks and other boats for rent. They commonly have live music too.

Wasilla Lake
