Getting Around
You will find Hertz and Dollar rent-a-car agencies one block north on Collins and 38th Avenue if a trip to the Florida Keys or Orlando is in the cards for you and your family.
If you choose to drive or rent a car at the airport, please note that there is only metered street parking ($3/Hour with 3-hour max limits). The Parmobile application makes it a bit easier to add additional time.
There is also a proper parking garage at Collins and 43rd with both Sixt and Alamo car rental agencies.

From Miami International Airport, options include a) yellow taxis which offer a one-way fixed-fare to Miami Beach (~$35), b) Uber (rates vary) or c) Public Bus #150 which departs from the rental car center stop #10 ($2.65 one way exact fare or purchase a bus pass at the airport).
Eastbound from the airport, the 150 Bus will drop you off at Indian Creek & 37th Street (one block away from Collins) and Westbound, back to the airport, at Collins and 38th Street (again, one block away from the apartment). In addition to plentiful taxis and Uber cars, these two bus stops do provide plenty of bus routes to access the activities, shopping, restaurants and bars of Lincoln Road and South Beach

There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars within walking distance but the Hotel Croydon 24-hour restaurant is right next door (38th & Collins). They also have a very nice morning Mimosa brunch and a beautiful bar with daily Happy Hour specials.

Primo Café and Market (40th & Collins) is a very popular breakfast place that also offers a bit of everything, including groceries and souvenirs. Primo also owns a liquor store on 39th & Collins and a smaller sundries store on 36th & Collins.

The Carrabba’s Italian restaurant has a great Tiki-Bar right on the boardwalk behind the Courtyard Cadillac hotel (Boardwalk & 39th). There are other bars on the boardwalk but this one is very close and has beach access.
