Distance: 200m return. Ease of Access: Easy A secluded pool accessed via a short scramble down to the creek from McCarrs Creek Road. At the top of the falls is a series of small cascades, and below is Upper Gledhill Falls and a deep swimming hole that’s popular in summer. Location: Near the junction of McCarrs Creek Road and West Head Road.
Upper Gledhill Falls

Distance: 800m return. Ease of Access: Easy. The easiest beach to get to at West Head, this secluded beach is accessed via a short walk down from West Head Lookout. A bit rocky but still a nice swimming beach. Location: Park at the end of West Head Road (West Head Lookout)

Distance: 2km return. Ease of Access: Easy. Arguably the nicest of the West Head beaches, accessed via a pleasant bushwalking trail down from West Head Road. Shaded areas and a good chance of seeing kangaroos grazing on the grass. The beach is generally not too busy. Location: Park at the end of West Head Road (West Head Lookout)
Flint And Steel Beach
Distance: 2km return. Ease of Access: Easy. Arguably the nicest of the West Head beaches, accessed via a pleasant bushwalking trail down from West Head Road. Shaded areas and a good chance of seeing kangaroos grazing on the grass. The beach is generally not too busy. Location: Park at the end of West Head Road (West Head Lookout)
