Located just 10 minutes from our home- Rock Island State parks has several entrances, waterfalls, trails and swimming options! The beach has ample space for kids of all ages to play in the water or use the free public boat ramp for water toys! Blue Hole Trail located at the main entrance is our families go-to hiking spot in all 4 seasons! The Great Falls of Rock Island another great choice with trails, water access (gorge) and breathing waterfalls sprinkled throughout the park.

Call ahead- they have amazing specials- Southern/Country cooking at its best. My husband and kids love the chicken stripes ;) Their catfish is really tasty and you can't go wrong with any of their desserts. We like to order this on our way home from the Great Falls, since its on the way!
