The only place to see the Pembrokeshire Puffins
Get to Martins Haven early if you would like to see the puffins. The colony are on Skomer from May till July and draw visitors from all over the world. You can't book in advance as this is a weather dependant trio.

Sightseeing

This is Britain's smallest city by virtue of its beautiful historic cathedral. It is a small city but has lots of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and is a good location to start exploring the North of the county. Well worth a visit.

This is known as the Blue Lagoon and you can see why! It is a popular spot for wild swimming and coasteering and is the venue for the Red Bull cliff diving competition in September. There is a good surfing beach here and it is also a renowned spot for finding fossils. There are public toilets in the car park.

There is great food or it is just a good watering spot as you walk the coast. Often there is live music and there are often feast nights which are great value.

It is possible to use public transport to get to Pembrokeshire and there is a coastal Puffin bus in the summer months, but if your time is limited, a car is useful.
