Sightseeing

Studland has lots of off-road mountain bike trails (may be a bit trickier with kids). There is nice walk over the Sandbanks chain ferry (which you can go as a foot passenger or in the car) to Old Harry Rocks - famous local landmark. And you can get the bus back from Studland village. Best eats in Studland: The Pig Hotel and Bankes Arms pub

General good places to visit- Corfe Castle ruins and a steam train to and from Swanage. Swanage is a classic seaside town- fish and chips, arcades, nice beach etc.

Child friendly restaurants

There are lots of child friendly restaurants in Ashley Cross- Le Bateau for metre long pizzas, Dancing Moose for burgers (half price on Thursdays), Camden for breakfast pancakes and Coast for coffees and brunch. Beware, first three get quite lively on Fri and Sat nights.
