“Sea food lovers, its a MUST for the best in town. The best time to go to Ramiro is at five in the afternoon. There, when the big lunches are over, it's still not the time for the English to dine and the Portuguese are thinking about going there for an afternoon snack (but do not divulge this secret, please). When you leave, you will even laugh at the queue. Must try: the clams the Bulhão Pato way - with toasts full of butter, obviously.”

“The newly opened food court on the 7th floor has some of Lisbon's best chefs -- the view is nicer and it's less busy than the Timeout Market (Mercado da Ribeira) and there is even our favourite ice cream place Nannarella!”

“Praça do Comércio (Commerce Square) used to be the location of the royal palace, until it was destroyed in 1755 by the Great Earthquake. The royal family moved to another residence in the district of Belem, and the new arcaded buildings became the entry port of the city. Its north side hosts a triumphal arch and one of the city's legendary cafes, Café Martinho da Arcada, a favourite for writers Fernando Pessoa, Almeida Garrett and Eça de Queiroz. The centre of the square boasts the statue of King José I, which is 14 meters high”

“Inaugurated in 2012 at Largo do Intendente, it operates as a cultural association, concert hall, bar and restaurant. It played a key role in the requalification of the Quartermaster, an area hitherto completely excluded from the nightfall scripts. It is housed in an old mansion, which was also the Figueiró dos Vinhos District House and has a regular program of concerts and parties. At the end of 2016, the Independent House also extended to the Upper Floor, as they called it. On the second floor, since then, there is another bar/concert hall, with one of the best balconies in Lisbon (overlooking the famous courtyard of Casa Independent). The upstairs can also be rented for private parties.”

“It is fishmonger, seafood restaurant, bar and seafood, or rather a "modern fishmonger". It is a contemporary space where you can buy fish to cook at home or stay for a meal ranging from sushi to traditional seafood. The fish is therefore always fresh, and can also be served in the bar area, accompanied by wine by the glass. On Friday and Saturday nights the doors are open later, and DJs are often present.”

“Beautiful spot for sundowner drinks and finger food. The entrance is hidden. Go through the sliding glass doors of the (pretty run down) Martim Moniz mall, and look for the elevator up to TOPO Martim Moniz. ”

“You must try octopus fillets with açorda! Very nice tuna steak à Algarvia (south typical flavours with a lot of coriander and garlic). Also great meat, steaks... Ask if they have "cadelinhas" special little shells! ”

“The view is from Lisbon, the decor is inspired by India, but the atmosphere (and the menu) is cosmopolitan. This large café-terrace restaurant on a large city-facing terrace serves light meals throughout the day but also serves as a bar. While everyone naturally chooses to stay on the terrace, on rainy days there is a shelter in the interior rooms, which are equally pleasant.”

“Noobai is a Rooftop Bar and Restaurant located in Santa Catarina Viewpoint, near Bairro Alto. Being perched on a Lisbon hill, you have a panoramic view of the old houses of the city, the modern buildings, the Tagus river, the harbour, the 25 de Abril bridge and the amazing sunset. It consists of a living room and three terraces prepared for summer and winter. The name Noobai comes from the Creole "Nu bai" which means "we go". The word was stylized to become more cosmopolitan, but it has not lost its meaning that translates into an invitation to the celebration of life, the conviviality between friends, the contemplation of nature and the city”
