El espacio
Your space will be a secluded 16-foot yurt with beds, wood stove, and an outdoor shower and composting toilet just steps away. In winter months, you may use the facilities in the main house, which include full-sized kitchen, bath and shower, and laundry facilities. Your privacy during your stay will very much be respected. Host can act as a tour guide of sorts, and will help you find your way around the Mt. Shasta Forest, which is a four-seasons sporting paradise! Think: kayaking McCloud River, hiking, biking, and mountain biking in spring, summer, and fall, and skiing, sledding, and snowmobiling in winter. There is a snowmobile park within 3 miles away on Pilgrim Creek Rd.

Acceso de los huéspedes
All of a 2.5-acre property (among lots more wide-open acreage) including general-use (not owner's personal) areas of the main house such as a full kitchen, laundry, bath and shower. You will principally be rooming in a 16-foot yurt that's outfitted for rustic winter and summer stays, with an outdoor shower, composting toilet, and sauna just steps away.

Otros aspectos a destacar
At 4,000 feet up and 4 miles from Mt. Shasta timberline (as the crow flies), you will be immersed in the rustic wilds of Siskiyou County, with the views of the mountain and wildlife interactions to match. Skiers will find a wonderful haven they can stay and ski -- the property itself or thousands of square miles of back-country skiing, or at Mt. Shasta Nordic Center and Ski Park. Spring, Summer, and Fall offer much in the way of hiking, bicycling, kayaking, and exploring one of America's great wilderness areas!

I work as an author, freelance writer, business consultant, and health coach. I enjoy healthy living, great books, classic films, and travel. I also enjoy lively conversation, fine wines and dining, and getting to know my special guests! Especially interested in those coming from around the globe, though I am in no way prejudiced to that end. It's all about experiencing our humanity in a unique mountain-forest setting under a billion stars and echoing with wildlife!

I can be available as a guide and as general company, either on-call, or in an open co-habitating situation. I will keep myself to the main house as much as you prefer. Situations can be arranged whereby I, your host, am away from the premises, though I will have to lock-up the main house. This is a better scenario for warmer months.
