Lyngbær is the name of this little house, it is located in Bræðratunga in the outskirt of Mosfellsbæ, only 50 minutes drive from the International Airport. Lyngbær is surrounded with fir trees and birch, moss and mountains, with hiking trails all around, and near by is the lake Hafravatn. 2 km to the next grocery store, and 3 km to the center of Mosfellsbæ, where you can find a bakery, restaurants and library. About 600 meters to the bus stop, where you can take the bus to Reykjavík centrum.

It has a large double bedroom, and small double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. It is well known and often listed as one of the most scenic and lovely summer cottages in Iceland.

The bathroom is fully equipped, while the modest yet functional kitchenette includes all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Free public parking across the street. The house is in front of a primary school which I love because it is so alive when the children go out to play. The school started at 08:30 and you might hear the bell ringing and children and parents coming to school.
