Nestled 280 meters above sea level and just 20 minutes from Raglan, our studio offers a serene escape from the everyday hustle. With breathtaking 270-degree views of the ocean, the majestic Mt. Karioi, & the rolling landscapes. Enjoy a romantic evening stargazing in the outdoor bath, surrounded by tranquility. Embrace serenity in this idyllic hideaway, where every moment is a chance to breathe deeply & relax. Fyi we’re on a gravel road, for winter no heating in the single room, lots of blankets.

Skippers Hideout

A modern tidy studio with attached bathroom and kitchenette thats seperate from the main house. The bed is a queen size and theres a small table with two chairs as well. The kitchenette has basic bench top cooking facilities, a sink, toaster, kettle with a small fridge too. I run a fishing charter boat on a trailer out of the driveway too, so you might experience charter customers, fish and early or late noises during your stay. Only 14 minutes walk to town and 6 minutes walk to raglan wharf.

Garden Stay close to town

After a few years hiatus, raising our almost 1 year old son, we're back Our little sleepout is perfect for a quick get away to raglan. Own enterance, share driveway (steep) with us as access. Guests to park on the road. No off street parking Queen bed, wifi & netflix tv (own login req.) 8 minute walk to town, 2 minute walk to the wharf. 10min drive to the points Two big dogs, who will want to say hello! Also 2 chooks living in backyard below, they will let you know when they've laid an egg!

Atarau Beach Retreat

Relax and unwind in this beautiful studio apartment. Enjoy the view of Moonlight Bay, and the tranquil surrounds of native bush and bird song. Take the private walkway to the bay for a swim, or see it from a different perspective using the kayaks provided for guests. Vibrant Raglan township is a quick five minute car trip (or enjoy the 30 minute walk), where you can find great restaurants, cafes, beaches, and other amenities. Walk along the beach to The Wharf for fish and chips at low tide.

WhaleBay Hideaway

Leave the city life behind and come and relax in WhaleBay. Let the sound of the waves lull you to sleep after a hard day in the surf. The bach is hidden away in the heart of WhaleBay, a minutes walk from the surf, with breath taking views of the World famous left hand point break. If the surf is not your thing, WhaleBay is situated at the base of Mount Karioi which has some fantastic hikes or trail runs , which will reward you with views of up the coast to Port Waikato or South to Taranaki.

An easy 6 min walk to the surf at Whale bay, Indicators or Outside Indicators a few mins drive to Manu bay or Ngarunui beach. Warm and cosy with a beautiful open fire, modern insulation & large double glazed sliding doors. The heat pump heats the studio within 15mins.

Enjoy a late check out! Down the road you will find local designer shopping; great cafes, coffee, cocktail bar and beaches all only 15 min walk. World renown Surf points a 10 min drive. So many water activities to explore. Bridal Veil falls, Karioi hike treks Waingaro hot pools and more, all within 25min drive from Raglan. Or, just relax in The Lanterns air conditioned comfort, with peaceful water views and the sleeping lady, Karioi mountain.

Just 1.3 km stroll from town and minutes to the water. Our new studio has it all: ensuite with shower/bath, smart TV, Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, kitchenette with fridge/freezer, and BBQ. Perfect for two, with a sofa bed for extra guests or budget stays. Located beneath our home with private entry — you might hear our young kids (3 & 4) or our friendly lab Max during the day, but evenings are peaceful from 7 pm – 7 am.
