The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

The Shelter

With wooden interior and carpeted floors with free standing fireplace, our accomodation is both spacious yet cosy. The master bedroom has a cabin feel to it with a comfy bed and views out onto farmland. The Loft is a spacious cosy area with low ceilings which the teenagers will love but tall people may not enjoy it as it's only about 1.75 cm at the highest point . large couches for watching netflix or relaxing on the deck. we are not set up for young children and think it's best suited to 8+ age

Our self contained apartment offers unique semi rural accommodation with amazing mountain views suited for tourists & travelers to enjoy all our region offers. Relax in the living area with comfortable lounging, dining table with full kitchen incl. dishwasher. Indulge yourself in a luxury queen size bed. A second bedroom offers a king single. A sofa bed is available if needed. A continental breakfast is provided. Cooked breakfast available weekends $15 per person. Laundry $10 wash & dry

A semi-detached 2 bedroom apartment overlooking park like surroundings & view of Oakura Beach & the Tasman Sea. A very short walk will have the sand between your toes and/or a dip in the sea. Entry into the apartment is via your own front door with an outside lock-box holding the key. The apartment has 2 good size bedrooms, both with wardrobes for storage. Bath robes are supplied for up to 4 guests. In the well appointed lounge/dining room area you will also find a TV, CD player & FM radio.

Oakura Studio

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. The studio is separate, fully fenced, lovely and private. It includes a relaxing little Zen garden area. The TV has all of the subscriptions. The kitchenette has a microwave, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, coffee pods, kettle & fridge. Brand new 3-Bedroom house with off-street parking at the end of a cul-de-sac. Central location close to river walkways, speedway, hockey turf, swimming pool and supermarket. Separate toilet and bathroom with bath and shower. All three bedrooms have double or queen sized beds and the third bedroom is also set up as a workspace. There are also floor mattresses for kids. Stratford is 40 minutes from New Plymouth and 30 minutes from Hawera. It is the closest town to Taranaki Maunga.
