Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. We are about 6 minutes from Liberty University, 8 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from Lynchburg College and 20 minutes from the hospitals. Discounts are given for stays seven or more days. Selah Acre's Alpaca Farm Cottage

A quiet cottage for young and old alike! Situated on a farm with hiking trails, creeks & streams! Coffee, tea, cream, sweeteners and snacks await you! The "Kitchen" includes coffeemakers, fridge, microwave, toaster oven and a 2 burner hot plate with all necessities to cook (there is no standard oven or kitchen sink - if needed we will pick up your dishes and clean them for you!). Fresh linens and towels are provided. The cabin dates back to the 1800's and was recently restored.

Black Water Junction Cabin

Our cabin is built out of old wood and doors found on the farm. Because I am such a cold natured person, I installed heated floors and a heated towel bar in addition to the mini-split and electric fireplace! The cabin is surrounded by pastures that are the home to our cows, horses, goats, pot belly pig, and chickens. The highlight of a stay at BWJ Cabin would be to sit on the front porch in a rocking chair, day bed swing or hot tub looking out over the landscape and do nothing.

Tiny Cabin in a Country Forest

Far removed from the road and any city noise, our cabins are nestled in-between pastures full of horses and cows, within an easy walk of a healthy creek and fishing pond. Between our breathtaking sunsets and our add-on options (horseback riding, wagon rides, hiking, fishing, a free petting zoo, etc.), there's not much that can beat the value of our facility. You get privacy without isolation, outdoors without "roughing" it, and all within an easy drive of Smith Mountain Lake.
