The Old Barn, Buxton - A Dream Come True

It's rare to find a place that's both historic and modern. It has been my dream to renovate the unique and private barn at our Grade 2 family home and finally it has happened! I would love to share it with you. Ours is one of the oldest houses in Buxton dating back to the seventeenth century and was once a coaching stop on the medieval road to London. It is now a boutique property set near the common, ideally situated to explore the Peak District yet just a short walk into the town centre.

17th Century Peak District Cottage

Mount Pleasant Cottage was built in the 1600s and is the oldest residential property in the picturesque village of Monyash. This peaceful Peak District getaway is full of character including original oak beams, a wood-burning stove and stunning views of the surrounding countryside as well as a library of fascinating books from around the world. The cottage is just a few minutes walk from the Bulls Head pub and Old Smithy cafe. The cottage lies at the beginning of the stunning Lathkill Dale walk.

Trickle Brook Cabin is a unique log cabin, a rustic converted shed, accessed via a bridge over a stream and nestled in a tranquil spot in the picturesque village of Wincle in the beautiful Peak District, tiny cabin with external measurements of 4 metres x 5 metres, cozy and very romantic. 1 double bedroom self contained flat with en suite shower room, a well equipped kitchen with a spacious and light living room. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits. The property is located in a quiet residential area with a green space behind. About 10 mins walk from the town centre. There is parking in front of the property and plenty of accessible on road parking to the rear. We operate a simple self check in system where the guest will be given a key code to access the property.

Converted 1870s chapel. Renovated in August 2021. Well placed for trips into the Peak District or to Buxton; walking, climbing, and biking all close to hand . Outside is a large drive with CCTV and private seating area. Parking for 2 cars. Bicycle storage. Please read house rules before booking. We live at the rear in the adjoining church hall. Quiet guests appreciated.
