Located in a gated community, 3 cottage’s sit on 5 acres with pond, pecan trees, wildflowers, seasonal garden and abundant wildlife. The river offers fishing and water activities. There are 2 large fire pits with seating, 2 outdoor dining areas and lounge seating with fireplaces on the decks front & back. Main cottage has king bed, bathroom, living & kitchen. The 2 smaller cottages have queen beds, loft beds & bathrooms.

We welcome you here to enjoy rest during your travels or maybe need a quiet place that’s near the Hospital. We are 2 miles from historic downtown & close to parks & lakes. Also, I will prepare breakfast for you and deliver to your door! (Times for breakfast delivery are from 8:30 to 10am, just let me know:)

The ponds on site allow you to fish, feed ducks and enjoy quiet mornings enjoying nature. If your heart desires you can also pick fruits and nuts around the farm depending on the season. These 12 acres brings you to a simpler time and place.

Leave your worries behind while you swim from the dock, sit by the fire pit and BBQ with the family. Kitchen area is fully equipped to prepare meals as well. Cabin boasts a screened in porch with lovely outdoor seating to read, chat, or to simply admire the view. 1 bedroom upstairs, 2 twin beds and a futon in the kitchen/dining area downstairs. Can sleep 6 people.

The Lazy Possum Cottage @PK

The Lazy Possum Cottage is a modern fishing cabin on the north side of Possum Kingdom Lake. This newly remodeled waterfront property offers a gentle slope to the water perfect for swimming and wading. It is usually deep enough to moor a boat or jet skis right at the shore although if the water level fluctuates you might have to tie it up a little further out or use our boat slip at the Marina less than a quarter mile away.
