It takes only 1 - 2 min walk from the station to the apartment. There are convenience stores, grocery stores and local restaurants nearby! 四季折々の田園風景と鳥のさえずりや虫の声をBGMに、滋賀県南部の中山間地に田園が広がる小さな山里です。夜は、外灯以外真っ暗で星空がきれいで静かです。素泊まりで外食されるもよし、家族や友達とキッチンで自炊されるもよし、お気軽にお泊りいただけます。農家自慢のお米とおにぎりの具材を用意しておりますので、土鍋か炊飯器で炊いてお召しあがりください。炊飯されない時は、お持ち帰りできます。就寝は、畳ベッドの上に敷布団（ロングサイズ）とシーツをしいて、羽毛ふとんをかけておやすみいただきます。（４人目の方は簡易ベッドになります）夏にはタオルケットを冬には毛布や電気あんかの用意があります。アクセスは、国道３０７号線杉山交差点から県道５号木津方向に入り１㎞約２分です。新名神信楽ICから１１㎞、名阪国道壬生野ICから２１㎞、京滋バイパス笠取ICから３６㎞、市バスは朝宮線で杉山バス停で下車後徒歩約２分です。なお、最寄り駅の信楽高原鉄道信楽駅までの送迎をしますので予約時にお知らせください。チェックインとチェックアウトは母屋の玄関でルームキーの受け渡しをお願いします。のんびり田舎においでくださいませ。

西村邸は、奈良町の一画に100年以上たたずむ、昔ながらの奈良町屋です。 ここは、ぼくが子どもの頃、長い時間を過ごした「おばあちゃんち」でした。 奈良町には、ずっと変わらない心地よい鄙(ひな)びがあります。 「これからの世代に、少しでもこの心地よい鄙(ひな)びにふれて欲しい。」 そんな想いで、空き家になっていた西村邸を、手入れしました。 - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.

A newly renovated machiya town house with typical layout and a small garden, retaining the tradition of Naramachi - the old merchant town of Nara. Easy access via bus and train, supermarket, restaurants, convenience store, bakery, and a Japanese bath house just minutes away. This house belonged to a famous wood carver of "ittobori" - a traditional Nara technique of carving the wood. A projector and a record player will make your stay even more pleasant. Enjoy!
