The Barn is a unique old stone barn but modern, with an open plan sitting/kitchen/ eating area with cathedral ceiling and a long narrow window overlooking the Salt Lake to one side, a small window looking down to the sea on the other. There are two bedrooms and a wet room style bathroom (no bathtub) but plenty of hot water and underfloor heating. It is wonderfully quiet, a real retreat for those who just want to escape. The Stonehouse is at the back of my house with its own entrance and own garden. Few steps to Newport Quay. Nearby is the famous Greenway between Westport & Achill. Bike hire is 5 min walk. Cottage is 100 yards from mile-long sandy beach and Minaun Cliffs - among highest in Europe. The Toolis family have lived here for over 400 years. The deserted Dookinella stone village still stands in the field nextdoor. Keel village is a 5-minute drive with restaurants, local butcher selling Achill lamb and fisherman selling from boat. Surf school for all ages. Fabulous walks begin right at the door from easy to mountain hikes. Good for couples and families. Good WiFi. Wheelchair accessible.

Newport Greenway Tiny Home

Newport Greenway Tiny Home is located on the Newport-Mulranny Greenway. It is about a 10 min walk to Newport town,you will find shops, pubs restaurants, a takeaway and bike hire to name but a few.Parking in front of tiny home and direct access onto the Greenway. The tiny home is cosy and warm, has full kitchen cooking facilities along with private bathroom. This little oasis is positioned on a south facing hill, overlooking a wide expanse of valley, tucked away from everything but yet a 5min drive from Westport Town. A wood-fired hot tub sits on the spacious deck, overlooking the valley. After bathing in the hot tub make your way up the external staircase to the balcony (which connects to the bedroom), where you can relax in the hammock and take in the amazing views.
