We are located approximately 10K from Cong and historic Ashford Castle. 10 K to the west are the beautiful Maamturk mountains offering exceptional hill walking opportunities. Leenane and Killary Fjord is a short drive west.

Kylemore Abbey and Gardens are just across the lake outside the door which is suitable for fishing with boat hire also available

Barngables Tiny Cottage is a cosy hideaway were you can really relax. The cottage stands in its own grounds alongside Barngables Stone House which is listed separately. Just a 25 minute drive from Galway City and set in Connemara which is renowned as an area with stunning scenery the cottage is in a perfect location to explore the West of Ireland. Lough Corrib, where wild trout can be caught lies at the bottom of our lane. Oughterard is our bustling and picturesque local town.
