Across the street from the Fairgrounds Race Course (Jazz Fest), corner market, Catty Shack (best tacos in NOLA), Jockey’s Pub (great neighborhood bar), and Toast Fairgrounds (amazing breakfast spot). ½ mile walk or ride to Liuzza's by the track, Swirl wine shop, Fair grinds coffee shop, Café Degas, Lola, Santa Fe Restaurant (best margaritas in town), Terranova Market and Conseco’s Market. You will have access to your private courtyard and the entire suite. We will be available for most guest check-ins and welcome you to hang with us on our porch under the large oak tree with a cool beverage. There are so many wonderful places in this city and we enjoy making recommendations based on your interests. The suite is situated across the street from the Fairgrounds Race Course, where Jazz Fest is held, the corner market, and Catty Shack, which has the best tacos in NOLA. The neighborhood is close to the French Quarter and City Park. Free street parking. There are always spaces available except during Jazz Fest. During this time, you can park in our driveway. City bus system close by, St Charles Streetcar within walking distance and only $7-$9 by Uber or Lyft into the center of the city. Parking outside right in front of the house. (Of course, on occasion, you may have to park a couple spots away, however it's rarely a problem to park right in front). Two bedroom fishing camp in lower Montegut, located near some of the best fishing in the area. We have a private launch on Bayou Terrebonne for your free use, or if you prefer the Pointe aux Chenes or Cocodrie marinas are just 20 minutes away. Sleeps 6 with fully furnished kitchen, and ample parking space for boats and cars. Fish cleaning station and crab boiling and fish frying equipment provided. Pets allowed for $40 fee. Free wifi. Our retreat is an hour and 30 minutes from New Orleans.
