Our stylish island hideaway is located on the shores of Davaar Island… a beautiful wooden cabin ideal for those wanting to experience a sense of solitude, be close to nature and enjoy total privacy… whilst still enjoying some luxurious touches and comfort. The Bothy has been hand built, with sheep wool insulation and oak framed double glazed windows and doors. Barnacle overlooks the sea and is thoughtfully designed to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible whatever the weather!

Welcome to Ballochroy Cottage. A former stables, our delightfully cosy one bedroom cottage is located in beautiful Kintyre. Spectacular scenery, tranquil walks, amazing wildlife and wild swimming are all on your doorstep. The perfect spot to unwind and recharge whether relaxing in the garden with views over Jura, Islay and Gigha or warming your toes by the fire after a long day exploring the peninsula. The cottage is in a rural location about 3 miles from Clachan, 4 miles from Tayinloan.

The golf course is just a minute away and village pub and selection of eateries within walking distance. Dogs are welcome - first 2 dogs free.

The Cabin consists of a walk in wet room with toilet and a very well equipped kitchen. Within the kitchen you will find a fridge, stove, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and crockery. The living Room has a TV and Log Burner - with French Doors out to the decking area. The double bedroom is up on the mezzanine level which you access via a ladder.

Within a few minutes walking distance of the town centre and all its amenities and only a 10 minute drive to local golf courses and beaches. There is plenty of space for parking on the street outside the building. Access is flexible as there is a keybox situated at the front door.
