This rustic romantic getaway is equipped with many amenities including a queen-sized memory foam mattress, kitchenette, full size bathroom with a shower and a wood burning stove to keep you cozy. The experience is rustic, much like camping, rather than a hotel stay. ***Please note: due to drought and summer heat, the creek no longer flows directly in front of the cabin but is a short walk away.

The Riverwood cabin was built by the property owner (Oso), a direct descendant of Dr. Herff, an early settler to Boerne in the 1850's. The rustic, craftsman-built cabin sits on an 85 acre historic ranch and wildlife preserve, located just 2 miles from downtown Boerne Square. The cabin is a bit quirky, and definitely an experience, yet has all the comforts you will need for a relaxing stay with friends or family! Please read house rules before booking.

Situated on 10 acres, the cabin is a quiet, private retreat and a comfortable central location for exploring the Hill Country.
