Our hotel’s place is near SENBON-MARUTAMACHI bus stop only 2 minutes walk from there. This is very useful bus stop, you can go directly to ARASHIYAMA , KINKAKUJI-TEMPLE,KIYOMIZU-TEMPLE, JR KYOTO STATION and so on. Our family founded Japanese rice shop in 1894 but I remodeled into hotel this spring. We are living long time here, and I want to keep my family’s business and hospitality mind for hotel work. Because the guest room is only 2, each room separate, so you can spend calmly and relax.

We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Higurashi-sou is a small guest house with 5 guest rooms only. This room is called 'Suzu' with a veranda facing to the garden. Enjoy the view from the veranda. Umeya is a small machiya in the Nishijin area of Kyoto, renovated using traditional methods. You can reach famous places such as Kinkaku-ji, Kitano Tenmangu, the Imperial Palace, Nijo Castle, and Kamishichiken within a 15-minute bicycle ride. Note: The stairs to the second floor are quite steep. The toilet and shower room are shared and face the garden (available 24 hours a day).
