京都を代表する歴史遺産『二条城』の近くに佇む築115年の京町家を、建築家による繊細なリノベーションで宿泊施設に生まれ変わらせました。外観は歴史ある京町屋の風情を残しつつ、内装は日本らしい伝統とモダンが調和した空間になっております。 玄関を入ると山の中の風景を切り取ったような京都ならではの坪庭が広がり、四季折々の自然を楽しむことができます。施設内には日本画家による絵画、匠による装飾品が飾られ、風雅な趣を宿す京町家です。 約100㎡の広々とした空間で最大9人の宿泊が可能です。家族や友人とゆったり過ごすのに十分な広さで、「古都京都を住むように旅する」のに最適な宿泊施設です。また子供が楽しめるキッズスペースを設けており、お子様連れの家族も快適に過ごせます。 二条城が徒歩圏内ですが、施設すぐのバス停から清水寺、金閣寺、嵐山、祇園、京都御苑などの主要な観光名所へのアクセスも良好です。 京都の中心部にありながらも落ち着いた静かなエリアで、周囲には京都ならではの町屋や歴史的な建物が残り伝統的な京都の面影が感じられます。その他にも周囲には多くの飲食店や銭湯があり、とても魅力溢れるエリアです。

As featured on the NYTimes T list, this property is a "Kyomachiya", a traditional Japanese home over 100 years old. It has been revamped from a "Nishijin-ori" (traditional Japanese textile) factory. It is located in the traditional Kamigyo Ward, minutes walk from the Imperial Palace. We collaborated with award winning architects at Ikken to renovate this space, which now accommodates the comforts of modern life, while retaining many of the original structure and elements from its past.

Located in the heart of Kyoto, we are 7-minute walk from the Imperial Palace and Imadegawa Station (K06), with Kyoto Station 10 minutes away by subway. We offer four bicycles free of charge for you to explore the charming backstreets that buses cannot reach. Additionally, for long stay guests , we provide a complimentary shuttle service to or from Kyoto Station upon request.

This house is almost 100 years old house and it has been just renovated in April 2017. The house was designed by the architect who loves the traditional machiya house. There is a living room, dining room, kitchen, 1 toilet and 1 bathroom on the first floor and then there are 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor. There are 3 Japanese style beds ( Futon) in 1 bedroom and 2 beds in the other bedroom.
