Unwind at this peaceful oasis in the hills of Argyll in the Trossachs national park. Our converted barn has a twin bedroom downstairs & double room on the open mezzanine above an open-plan living kitchen area. The bathroom has a bath and separate shower, as well as a washing machine and a tumble drier. Access to the adjacent forestry road is via a car park 100m north along the roadside. This offers extensive walking routes, including to the Benmore Botanic Garden, Pucks Glen & The Coylet.

Rose Cottage is a unique 18th Century lime washed stone cottage located a short distance from Whiting Bay. As a Category B listed building of architectural and historic interest, Rose Cottage is believed to be a long house typical of the Western Isles. We accept a max of 2 well behaved dogs no larger than a Labrador. Separate garden for guests use. Safe little beach and swings just across the road . Start of the Goatfell path 5 min walk away. Located in the north Arran village of Lochranza, this house is an ideal jumping off place for hiking, visiting Arran’s attractions or for a day-trip to Kintyre. By day, enjoy watching the yachts come and go and catch sight of some of Arran’s wildlife. In the evening, cozy up in front an open fire after taking in one of Arran’s long sunsets. Please note the property may not be suitable for children under 5 and I don't provide any baby/child equipment (eg stair gates).

We recommend travel insurance as island travel can be affected by weather or ferry delays.
