The Chickaree Mountain Retreat is our lovingly cared for 1965 A-frame with the classic architecture we know and love. The A-frame features two upstairs bedrooms, a darling kitchen, and a comfortable living room warmed by an inviting gas fireplace. Make lasting memories during any season with your family or friends. With the Serene Lakes and Royal Gorge trails only a few blocks away and five ski resorts within short driving distance, the CMR sets you up for an adventurous Sierra getaway!

Small condo at base of Tahoe Donner ski hill. Its really ideal for 2 people. However, there is a couch that folds down can becomes a bed (suitable for someone under 5.8). Deck overlooks the ski hill and has a killer view. There is a full size fridge, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven and induction hot plate. Full bathroom. The unit has a table / work station. There are two chars and there are two black side tables that can act as extra seats so 4 people can sit at the table.

Centrally located home, 4 Queen Beds, attached garage and driveway. Natural Light. Underground utilities (power outages are rare). Conveniently is 2.2 miles from Downtown Truckee (1.8-mile paved trail). NorthStar Ski Resort is 15 mins (8.4 miles) and Palisades Tahoe (Squaw Valley Ski Resort) is 19 mins away (13.9 miles). Trails for snowshoeing, cross country, sledding, biking, and hiking. Donner Lake is a 9 min drive and Lake Tahoe is 19 mins away. Air Purifier on at all times.

PLEASE NOTE: There are TIGHT STEEP STAIRS INSIDE OF THE HOME, as well as STEEP STAIRS OUTSIDE to get into the home from either entrance. WINTER - 4WD & CHAINS REQUIRED. We have the driveway plowed professionally and you will be responsible for shoveling the stairs and deck during your stay.

Base Camp for Your Next Tahoe Adventure

Welcome to Base Camp! Our cozy studio (308 SF) is located in the Tahoe Donner Lodge Condominiums. The Lodge HOA is less than 50 yards from the Tahoe Donner downhill ski resort - consistently voted as the best place to learn how to ski. Alder Creek Adventure Center (cross-country skiing, hiking, biking) is less than a mile away. A private parking lot is available for our guests. Please note that our condo is not appropriate for more than two guests, including children of any age.

Tinopai means 'most excellent' in Maori (indigenous to New Zealand) This is a sweet, comfortable 2 bedroom condo located across the street from the Tahoe-Donner Rec Center. It offers a beautiful living space with streaming light and privacy for up to four adults and two kids. It’s a perfect resort retreat near eight major ski areas, golf, mountain biking, XC skiing, boating and more. The condo offers guest access to all Tahoe Donner's world class amenities. Some require a fee.

Truckee River Bike House

ON THE TRUCKEE RIVER right in the historic downtown area, our little place is a 2 block walk to restaurants and shopping. You’ll love our place because you can sit inside or in bed and watch the river flow by. It's a peaceful place, new and modern, private and the middle of it all. It's not just a place to stay, it's a destination. QUIET people only please. We have a firm sofa sleeper. we have a couple of other mattresses we can bring in if you prefer a softer bed.

Soda Springs Retreat

A step back into history. Condo located inside of an old Historic Railroad building converted into beautiful cozy condominiums. Very close drive to Bay Area (3 hours) yet within close proximity of Reno, Truckee, and Lake Tahoe. 5 minute walk to Soda Springs Ski Resort (ski-in/ski-out)! In summer, great hiking and lakes all close by. Insanely fast wifi (400mb download, 40mb upload). Please see note about train close by and possible noise.
