It is the birth place of St. Joseph Vaz who was a priest and missionary in Sri Lanka.There are two popular churches in Benaulim.

Located just a km walk from the beach and Taj exotica, this duplex in a gated complex offers breathtaking views of the fields from your balconies. The first floor boasts two ensuite bedrooms, while the second floor features a living space with kitchen. It takes 15 steps to reach the first floor. Enjoy access to the society’s large swimming pool, which is open from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. Swimwear is mandatory. Note: Loud music and parties around the pool and balconies are strictly prohibited.
