Culsharg Cottage is a cosy two-bed bungalow in Glentrool, the only village in Galloway Forest Dark Skies Park. It's a beautiful, peaceful, rural location. You can expect awesome starry skies, and if you're lucky, maybe even the Aurora. Glentrool is all about the outdoors, with plenty of biking, wild swimming and walking nearby. We are right in the heart of the stunning Galloway Forest and part of the UNESCO designated Biosphere, with trees, streams, lochs and mountains right on the doorstep.

What was once a chicken shed is now a sweet, cosy pet-friendly cottage perfect for families, adventurers, readers, writers, nature lovers. There are two bedrooms (one king size bed, one twin), a wood burning stove, lovely fresh characterful décor, books, a spacious kitchen, stunning views. You can explore beautiful beaches, great small towns, rolling hills or just enjoy looking out the window. St John’s Flat is an extremely spacious ground floor flat located in the heart of the beautiful rural village of St John’s Town of Dalry. Oak Tree Hut

Unfortunately no dogs/children/infants are allowed. Oak Tree Hut is situated on our working sheep farm in Dumfries and Galloway. The views from the hut looks over St John’s Town of Dalry and up onto the Rhinns of Kells. Lie in bed watching the sunrise and sit on the verandah or soak in the outside bath while watching the sunset. Watch the bird life and livestock peacefully fly and amble by. The hut has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and memorable.

Signal Box

The Signal Box is a cosy retreat to switch off in nature. On the edge of Galloway Forest Park and within the UNESCO Biosphere, it’s surrounded by wildlife. Culzean Castle and Country Park is a 40-min drive. Nearby, wild swimming is available at Girvan Beach, Galloway Forest Park, and the Water of Minnoch in Glen Trool. Galloway Forest highlights include scenic trails, Bruce’s Stone, and the Red Deer Range. On the edge of the Dark Sky Park, it’s perfect for stargazing.

The Potager Tree House

Situated within the vegetable garden five feet up. Unfortunately, not suitable for disabled access. There is a tree coming up through the balcony which gets full sun in the morning for breakfast alfresco. Living area is small and quirky but with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Outside there is a BBQ, a wood fired whiskey barrel hot tub and enough coals and logs provided for one night. The garden is secure and dog friendly. Private entry and parking.
