Rose Cottage is a 150 year old Grade II listed property, located within the Durham City conservation area. It is ideally situated for guests to enjoy the many attractions of this historic city, including the Unesco World Heritage site of Durham Cathedral and Castle, Durham University Museums and Gardens, riverside walks and an abundance of eateries. Located in a beautiful fishing village, just a few minute walk to a stunning coastline and beaches, the village has great restaurants, cafe, Blues micro pub and a friendly pub ‘the jolly sailor’. 5 minute walk to Latimers fish restaurant, then further along the road is seaburn with plenty bars and restaurants, a stunning beach. There is buses from the village to Sunderland and South Shields. Why not walk along the stunning coastal path to South Shields or over cleadon hills with stunning views.

"HAY LOFT" quiet rural location, close to Durham

The Loft is located above our garage in a large garden and field totalling 8 acres. We're at the end of a farm track in the middle of the countryside, half a mile from the nearest road meaning ZERO traffic noise. The headroom is kind of tight along the two sides but, at 6 feet tall I manage okay. Perfect for two, but can easily cope with 4 people. The Loft is accessed by external concrete steps. The accommodation is not suitable for children but we've squeezed them in on occasions.

Our house is perfect for those wanting to live in a semi rural part of our region, with a hive of local amenities close-by. With easy access to major road networks and transport links from our home, We are in an ideal location for commuting to or exploring the nearby Cities of Durham, Sunderland and Newcastle which are bursting with culture and attractions. To the East we have the coastal town of Seaham Harbour, to the West we have Beamish Museum, County Durham and Northumberland

The old library

The building was an old library now converted into flats. The flat is on the ground floor with own entrance, private yard and parking. A home from home, fully furnished with everything you will need to make your stay enjoyable. It is in a prime location, 10mins from the city center, 5mins walk from the scenic coastline. Close transport links to the A19 and A1. There are local shops a few doors down, including Asda, Lidl, bars, restaurants and several takeaways close by.
