Let's make kimchi together while learning Korean at Korean traditional hanok!!(can be explain in Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese)
Kim Young-yeon(Eugene Mom)have been running a traditional Korean house in Hyehwa-dong (Daehangno) in the center of Seoul , during 10 years. The name of Eugene House came from the name of my daughter Eugene. It has another name, Kim Tae-gil House/Seoul Future Heritage, It was 80 years old house.
I have had a kimchi making experience with the guests who came to my house. And also, I was fortunate to live in Japan and China, for nine years. By teaching Korean and Korean culture to the students in these countries. While making kimchi, I will also teach you Korean language and culture. You will get a glimpse of the life of Koreans. I will take a nice picture of you making kimchi in the hanok.

A truly wonderful experience! Youngyeon was welcoming from the moment I stepped foot into her beautiful hanok. It was a great morning of making delicious food, learning about the culture and hearing personal stories! :)

To say it was special is to say nothing...I mean when else do you get to meet locals in historic places (this hanok is over 80 years old) and get to cook traditional, local food with loads of personal stories from the host?! If this what you want - look no. further! It was once in a life time experience! Thanks!!!!

Ms Youngyeon was very friendly and made us feel very welcome into her house. My mom and I enjoy Kimchi but it’s the first time we had the chance to learn how to make it. She made us feel so at home and kindly explained the ingredients and intricate Korean culture to us. Since it was cold, we made kimchi inside the hanok and she gave us containers to bring the kimchi home. She even took many photos of us and brought us to a park near her house to look at the scenery and then walk us to the bus stop. This was my first airbnb experience and I would highly recommend it!!
