Qué harás

This makes a great Welcome to KL walk: Experience sights, sounds and taste during this journey through the heart and soul of Old Kuala Lumpur.

As we stroll along our easy-to-walk route (3 hours), you will experience local daily life: start with Hainanese breakfast at a local coffee shop.

En route I'll fill you in with everything from the community’s history to stories of what once was: stroll thru a time tunnel with images of the past, visit temples (Hindu & Chinese), learn about the sound of music in Chinatown and how did communities come together in Kuala Lumpur? Come up close to a wet market where vegetables, fruits, and livestocks are peddled by vendors (market visit is upon request).

This walk is about the inhabitants, past and present. This is Old KL and their stories. To be shared and heard. Think of this walk as an old photo album unfolding piece by piece, bringing out a hidden fragility to this quarter.

We end with a train ride to the Twin Towers with some insider stories en-route !

This sweet walking tour was a perfect intimate way for me to jump into my KL trip. The coffee and kaya toast breakfast was wonderful and I enjoyed walking around Chinatown and seeing various shops, temples, and historic sites that I certainly could have physically walked on my own, but wouldn't have gotten much out of it with Manjeet's guidance and wealth of knowledge about KL. I'm not sure how big Manjeet's tour groups can typically be, but this time it was just me and Manjeet and I appreciated the intimate group size where I could ask questions and have conversation with Manjeet too. In addition to a wonderful tour, Manjeet also helped me get to my next destination after the tour and messaged me even more recommendations/directions for other sites to see in KL. Manjeet went 100% above and beyond and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who is a beginner to learning about KL and its history.

What an incredible experience. We discovered a beautiful and unique side to KL! There’s so much history and interesting stories in the tour. I felt so connected to Malaysia culture after our experience and KL now tops one of my favorite cities (partly due to this tour)! I even received a blessing in one of the temples! 1000% recommend

From her speedy response to my first query, to the moment we said farewell at the end of our tour, Manjeet was fantastic! Very helpful, friendly, obliging and with stories and knowledge that enriched our time in KL. She packed so much into our walk that I felt as if we had spent many many hours with her by the time we were done. I felt as if we were walking with a knowledgeable friend, Manjeet was caring and considerate - I highly recommend her as a local guide! Thank you Manjeet.

I had a awesome tour with Majeet. She had a lot of knowledge and was really enthusiastic about the cultures and history she was giving insight to. We were lucky to even attend a hindu wedding in the temple. Apart from the great tour she also gave me tons of information and tips for my upcoming destinations in Malaysia which proofed to be super helpful. Recommended!

My visit with Manjeet was my first Airbnb experience, and I don't regret it at all. I've learned a lot about the culture and the different religious communities in KL. I recommend this visit to anyone interested about this neighborhood as the surface itself does not allow to understand it properly. Thanks a lot Manjeet !
