This was a really cool tour with a lot of really cool history that isn’t as readily available. We learned a lot, laughed a lot, and had a great time on a gorgeous day. Would highly recommend!

I had a wonderful time on Carter's tour of the Red Light District in Honolulu! She is obviously very passionate about history and especially the history of this area and has clearly made a lot of connections with the people who work along route of the tour as well as people who join her on the tour. I learned a lot about the history of sex work in Hawaii, the institutions that typified the industry and so much more. I especially appreciated the various photos and stories that Carter has collected and woven through the tour to enrich the experience, as well as the many hilarious prostitution puns along the way. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, especially people with an interest in history!

My boyfriend and I attended this tour and it blew us away! We live in Honolulu (I am born and raised in a neighborhood near where the tour was held) and were amazed at the rich (and saucy!) history of Chinatown that we had never known about. Carter is a fantastic and enthusiastic storyteller and made the spaces really come alive with cool, authentic props that she's collected from the time period. If you're visiting Honolulu or lived here your whole life, if you're a history buff or just a perennial snoop like I am -- absolutely do this tour!

The WWII Red Light District stories are not interesting, peculiar and funny; you get to see the diversity of activities that were flourishing in downtown Honolulu's Chinatown 75 years back, I highly recommend!

If you want to learn more about how the sailors spent their time away from the ship and the history of the red light district I highly recommend this tour. Carter was able to bring decades of old history to life. One of the top experiences of my time in Hawaii

Having been to Hawaii many times we wanted to look for more unique historical tours, and this one did not disappoint! Instead of the textbook history you find at museums or pearl harbour, this tour provided some realistic insight into how life was like during the war times and how crazy the china town used to be with the sailors, madams, brothels, drama and love stories! Thank you Carter!
