We have one private room which can sleep up to 2 people. This can be set up as either double or twin room, please request your preference on booking. Penrith is the ‘heart of the Lake District’ and a good place to start discovering this wonderful area. We are only minutes from M6 junction 40. We welcome cyclists and walkers. There is a secure hallway for cycles.

Riverside is a very spacious, self-catering studio apartment. It is suitable for two or three people. A large open-plan room, Riverside boasts a solid oak, king size bed and a solid oak, single sofa bed. An amply equipped mini-kitchen with pine table and chairs completes the comfortable living area. The kitchen has a two ring hob, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. The extremely spacious en-suite bathroom enjoys a roll-top bath and a separate, walk-in rainforest shower.

Breakfast is provided for you in the utility room, you are welcome to use our dining room.

My home is on a small, Lakeland farm set up on a hillside with wonderful views down to the Duddon estuary. You could be woken by the song of a blackbird or robin or the cockerel; otherwise, it's a wonderfully quiet, peaceful spot. The hens and cats hang out in the yard, various sheep breeds, four ponies, and a scattering of cows populate the fields, and beyond that a gate opens onto the hills.
