"Bucking Bull Bunkhouse" on Bucking Bull Farm

Experience this "ole" west one of a kind cabin and go back in time to the early 1900s. Take a soaking bath in the cowboy brothel type tub. Get a laugh seeing a recreated outhouse bathroom but with a modern toilet. Enjoy eating on a chuck wagon tabletop. Additionally, sit by an open firepit and make complimentary s'mores all while gazing at the galaxy of stars, watching the wildlife, and viewing our cattle during the day. Molly our gentle jersey may even let you pet her at the fenceline.

Waterfront - The Red Camp at Lake Bistineau

Nestled on a quiet curve of Lake Bistineau, The Red Camp is ready to welcome you to lake views with Spanish moss draped cypress trees and amazing sunsets! Lake is now at full pool and ready for swimming, kayaking, and fishing through the end of July and a bit beyond! The annual drawdown starts usually in late July, so if you are reserving for fall or winter, please inquire as to the Lake level. Please check out our adjacent Shades of Blue property if you need extra space for your group!

Dr. Milton Richardson owned this home from 1963-1989 during which time he, along with his brother, Tom and father Sam, also doctors, started the Minden Medical Center, just a short walk down the street! Located on a 2 acre peninsula on Pine Island, this 450 sf treehouse is surrounded by 1400 feet of Cross Lake. Beautiful open water and cypress tree views epitomize Louisiana lake living. The treehouse has an open concept living area with a queen bed, claw foot tub and equipped kitchenette, with countertop oven/toaster, microwave, coffee pot, electric skillet, refrigerator and sink. It accommodates two adults, no children or pets. Two night minimum stay, no exceptions.

The Blue House on Cross Lake

This cottage was built circa 1926 on Cross Lake as the home for Lonnie Erwin who owned a catfish restaurant next to his home. Back in the day it was popular to drive up from Shreveport if they caught enough catfish to serve. The restaurant closed in the mid 1940s and it and the cottage fell into disrepair. We renovated the cottage and restaurant (also on Airbnb as The Red House on Cross Lake) and brought them up to date.
