The ground floor consists: entrance hall; lounge with wood burning stove, & TV; well equipped kitchen; utility room with washing m/c and toilet. Upstairs: two bedrooms (1 kingsize & 1 double bed) bathroom with bath & separate shower. The cottage has gas central heating.

A modern, self-contained, dog-friendly retreat tucked away in Thornthwaite just 5 minutes from Keswick, overlooking Comb Beck. Sleeps 2 adults (with a sofa-bed for 2 more) and welcomes up to 2 dogs. Located at the foot of Whinlatter Forest, the Michelin-starred The Cottage in the Wood nearby. You can walk from your door onto the fells or relax in the garden to birdsong, waterfalls and red squirrels.

Enjoy wonderful views of the Ennerdale fells, extending to Pillar and Steeple. The spacious, comfortable accommodation forms the main section of a larger semi-detached property. You will have the house to yourselves - we will be far away, but contactable should you have any questions or issues. It's self check-in and check-out. There are many good and varied walks nearby, as well as scenic drives and gastro pubs. You will need to bring groceries with you - breakfast is not supplied.

Ideally located to explore the beautiful Lake District.
